Panorama

The immense natural heritage, which is very well protected and taken care of, gains in value from nearby natural parks and reserves namely "Parco Alpi Apuane", "Parco dell'Orecchiella", "Oasi Lipu" and a "WWF Oasis". Ancient villages, Roman churches, Hermitages, Castles and Fortresses, while denoting the humility and cleverness of the population that inhabited this region during the Dark Ages, are testimony of the rich historical and architectonic heritage of the area.
