For trekking lovers, immersed in the countryside, there are over 300 km of marked itineraries organised by Garfagnana Trekking.
Their routes are among the most suggestive: small and ancient villages, medieval parish churches, archaeological sites and mountain pastures, castling routes and trenches of the Gothic Line along the route of the Via Francigena in search of votive "marginette". All this tells of the customs, habits and traditions of a land that has always fascinated visitors. We are surrounded by and inside National and Regional Parks such as:

The hotel is an ideal stop for pilgrims who walk the Cammino del Volto Santo (Holy Face Walk) during the stage that leads from the town of Fivizzano to Monte Argegna. During the summer months, pilgrims can relax in our outdoor swimming pool and enjoy the local cuisine while dining on the panoramic terrace of the restaurant, while in the winter months they can rest and dine in front of the flames of the fireplace. Specific programmes have been devised with preferential rates for fans of these sports. If you are interested you can consult the "Holiday packages" section by clicking here.
For the more experienced and courageous, we recommend mountaineering. Climbing the Apuan Alps is a historic sport in these parts. These mountains are adored by rope and ice axe "fanatics" who take advantage of the quiet paths and near-vertical walls to reach the highest peaks: Pisanino (1946 m), Pizzo d'Uccello (1781 m).
The Club Alpino Italiano is present with the "Roberto Nobili" section. Alpine excursions of varying difficulty are organised, from simple tourist excursions to excursions for good ski mountaineers. For programmes and a detailed description of the initiatives visit their website www.garfagnanacai.it
